Spring Workshop Announced

Eric Haas presents "Plays Well With Others": polish your phrasing, expressive 
articulation and other ensemble skills on English and Italian madrigals of the 
late 16th and early 17th century.  The pieces that we'll cover have some 
specific challenges that make them useful for ensemble practice 
(tuning/matching pitch, duple- triple time changes, passing musical material 
from one voice to another, etc.).  Composers include Bennet, Byrd, Gesualdo, A Gabrieli, Farnaby, and Casulana.

9:00am-Noon First Session
Noon-1:00pm Lunch*
1:00pm-4:00pm Second Session

*AARS Members are asked to bring breakfast or lunch food or beverages to help 
feed the group.  A sign-up sheet will be distributed later.  The Turner Center 
supplies coffee and tea.


Workshop fee is $40.  Early registrants will pay $35, if they sign up before 
April 7.
